China-Hao Jingfang
HAO Jingfang, Novel Author, Economic Research Fellow, Founder of Tong Xing School and Fangjing Science Fiction. In 2002 she was awarded the First Prize in the “New Concept” Writing Competition. She graduated from Tsinghua University Department of Physics in 2006, and got her doctor’s degree from Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in 2013. She worked in Research Department I of China Development Research Foundation from 2013 to 2018. In 2016, her story Folding Beijing won Hugo Award at the 74th World Science Fiction Congress. And she was selected as the “Top 10 People of the Year” in 2016 by People Magazine and Southern Character Weekly Magazine. In the same year, she founded Fangjing Science Fiction Studio, a film and television studio dedicated to the creation of sustainable science fiction literature and films. In 2017, she was entitled as “Youth Leader” by Boao Forum and Summer Davos Forum. In the same year, she founded the children’s general education brand “Tongxing School” to broaden children’s horizon, promote children’s thinking, foster children’s creativity, and to explore sustainable public welfare education. She became a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Kennedy School in 2018. In the same year, she was honored as the 2018 “Global Youth Leader” by the World Economic Forum.
