Biography
Liu Zhenyun, born in May 1958 in Yanjin, Henan. He is a novelist and screenwriter. Graduated from Peking University and is a professor at school of liberal arts of Renmin University of China. He has published novels, such as Regime and Blood, The Real Estate Tycoon, Someone to Talk To, I Did Not Kill My Husband, and novella such as A Small Town: Tapu, Recruits, The Office, Ground Covered with Chicken Feathers, Remembering 1942. His works have been translated into over 28 languages. His novel Someone to Talk To was awarded the 2011 Mao Dun Literature Prize as well as his involvement in the many adaptions of his books. In 2018, he was awarded France’s Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
