Slovakia- Barbora Hrínová

Barbora Hrínová is a fiction writer, screenwriter and teacher. She works at the department of Screenwriting and Dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. She has collaborated on television series (e.g. Wild Horses, Dear Daddies). She is a three-time finalist of the most recognized short story competition in Slovakia “Short Story”. She completed a six-month research stay in Georgia and, as a Fulbright Scholar, a five-month research stay in the USA. She is the author of five radio-documentaries for Slovak and Czech radio (Asteroid 3730, Hurban, Christmas Puppy, The Secret, Lady of Babylon). In 2020 she published her debut collection of short stories Unicorns, for which she received the most prestigious national literary award Anasoft litera 2021.
